Commissioning Lead (Telecoms)
- Qatar Onshore 20% / Offshore 80%
- 28 on vs 28 off rotation / 12hr days / 7 days per week (Offshore)
- 36 Month Contract
- Major Oil & Gas Client

Job Purpose :
- The Hook-Up and Commissioning Telecoms Lead shall provide oversight and direction to the project’s main contractor, sub-contractors and vendors, during the offshore hook-up and commissioning stages. Effectively collaborates and interfaces with the HUC team, facilities team, EPC contractor and operations personnel.

Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering

Knowledge and/or Experience :
- 8 years’ experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel
- Knowledge and experience in discipline Hook-Up and Commissioning delivery processes and associated project phases, familiar with completions walkdowns and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
- In-depth knowledge of Telecoms design, risk-based evaluation of complex technical issues, ensuring deliverables are compliant with project requirements.
- Advanced knowledge in fibre optic and copper cable testing, results analysis and fault-finding activities
- Advanced knowledge of networking fundamentals, cyber security, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN to ensure design specs are met.
- Advanced knowledge of Radio systems (VHF/FM/AM), Access Control, Telephony, PAGA and CCTV hook-up and commissioning.
- Experience in troubleshooting general telecoms systems.
- Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities, or yard operations as applicable to a project scope.
- Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
- Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies. • Expert in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures.
- Knowledge in project execution, engineering, operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning and systems completion.
- Knowledge in compliance with contract requirements, including codes and standards, and contract technical specification compliance.
- Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc.
- Experience working in large-scale operating organisations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
- Experience in start-up support for operations.
