Construction Delivery Lead
Major Nuclear / Defence Project – Sizewell C

- Salary: £80,000 – £110,000 + DOE

NRL is recruiting an experienced Construction Delivery Lead to play a pivotal role on one of the UK’s most high-profile nuclear construction projects. This is a rare opportunity to lead complex construction activities on a nationally significant development, working at the forefront of safety, quality, and delivery excellence.

As Construction Delivery Lead, you’ll sit within the Construction Delivery Team and take ownership of construction execution across allocated areas. Reporting to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager, you’ll provide strong leadership to Construction Delivery Managers while ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, environment, and performance are achieved on site.

Key Responsibilities
▪️ Lead, manage, and develop Construction Delivery Managers, ensuring capability, competence, and confidence across site activities
▪️ Fulfil line management responsibilities, including coaching, support, and performance development
▪️ Oversee all Health, Safety & Environment activities in line with the Construction Phase Plan
▪️ Carry out and record safety and assurance inspections using INSIGHT, supporting project KPIs
▪️ Step into the Construction Delivery Manager role for specific areas when required
▪️ Drive safe, efficient construction sequencing, planning, and delivery across complex work scopes

Requirements:
▪️ Strong experience in strategic site planning, sequencing, recovery planning, and resource allocation
▪️ Solid understanding of commercial principles within construction delivery
▪️ The ability to produce clear, concise, and insightful reports
▪️ A collaborative, motivational leadership style that builds trust and accountability
▪️ A relevant degree (or equivalent) in Civil Construction
▪️ Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
▪️ NEBOSH, SMSTS, or IOSH qualification
